cedrika provencher is a  ten year-old girl who
disappeared on july 31, from trois rivieres,
quebec.

police suspect that she has been abducted.

a representative of a group investigating this for
her grandfather, wrote to me for help. i don't know
how they got my name, but it doesn't matter.

it is enough that they wrote to me. and while i've
never conducted any investigation of this sort
before, i am going to try to help in anyway i can.

of course, i will.

her parents have set up the following site:
http://cedrika.org/

and here is her picture .. just in case......

off now to meditate and do my thing, but before
i say goodnight, here's our thought for today:

"Who has seen the wind? Neither you nor I;
But when the trees bow down their heads,
The wind is passing by." ~ Christina Rossetti

that describes the word "faith" beautifully...
doesn't it?

Let's all have faith in our hearts this evening for
the return of little cedrika...

peace to her family and peace to all

here's our thought for the day...

"Sometimes our thoughts turn back toward a corner in a
forest, or the end of a bank, or an orchard powdered with
flowers, seen but a single time....yet remaining in our hearts
and leaving in soul and body an unappeased desire which is
not to be forgotten, a feeling we have just rubbed elbows with
happiness." ~ Guy de Maupassant

peace out

i was sixty this august and really didn't know
whether to go kicking and screaming into the
night or as they say, to begin "aging gracefully."
up 'til now, believe it or not, i hadn't given it much thought...
then the BIG one hit and it hit hard....caught me very
much unawares.

some say "why would you tell your age?" and others,
"what's a number?" well...we are as old as we feel
and in my mind i'm still in my mid twenties....alas
my mirror doesn't think so....

easy enough to spot the signs though....if we're
conscious!

40 need reading glasses...vow to have nails done
every 2-3 weeks
45 need my beauty salon more....vow to have
hair done every 5-6 weeks...bottle off the shelf
doesn't cut it anymore....
50 losing some hair, can't keep it long now
55 losing some hearing....vows now become
less and less...nails go to pot
60 cataracts beginning....memory not so good
ah what the heck! let it all hang out!
i'm done worrying about it

here's something i got from su and a few others (bless
you all!) a little while ago and  i think it's just great.....
researching the source and will  let you know once i find it.....thanks su!

"The other day a young person asked me how I felt about being old. I was taken aback, for I do not think of myself as old and from my reaction, he was immediately embarrassed, but I explained that it was indeed an interesting question, and I would ponder it, and let him know. Old age, I decided, is a gift. I am now, probably for the first time in my life, the person I have always wanted to be, or least close to it..

I would never trade my amazing friends, my wonderful life, my loving family. So, to answer the question, I absolutely do like being old(er). It has set me free. I like the person I have become. I am not going to live forever, but while I am still here, I will not waste time lamenting what could have been, or worrying about what will be. For the first time in my life, I don’t have to have a reason to do the things I want to do. If I want to play games on the computer all day, visit with my e-mail friends, lay on the couch and watch old movies for hours or don’t want to go to the beach or a movie, (or maybe DO want to) I have earned that right. I have put in my time doing everything for others, so now I can be a bit selfish without feeling guilty.

I am grateful to have been born when I was, into a kinder, gentler world.

Yes, I like being old(er)! It is a comfy, cozy place and I like it!"

says it all! love and peace to all

anyone who knows me well knows of
my love for anything leonine....born in august
two days before my dad's birthday.....of true
leo descent...
my brother once held a contest
for everyone to count how many lions i have in
my den! i have gathered many over the years...
they love it here
because i treasure them.
i forget now how many we counted....over 100
now spread all over the house....they lie proud and
protective of every space they own
and i am protective of them all.

same also know of my love for all things elton
back in the 70s he inspired my book of poetry
especially "your song." funny how for about two years
i wished to myself that elton would make a cd of only
his quiet songs and sure enough, in 1996 (remastered
in 2001) out came "love songs." he must have heard me! :-)
talk about thoughts are things!
my very own evidence of universal consciousness
i love his quiet songs more than anything
they speak more of his soul than the others
tho i do have to say they are great too!
and bernie taupin oy! what a heart there is in that soul...

same also know of my love for anything theatrical...
and along comes "lion king!" talk about a triple header!
saw the movie, triple loved it...haven't seen it on
broadway and that is my next wish....
after the one where i get to meet elton up close
and personal....yeah! almost did thanks to michael
who set my sis and i up to see him at the nbc studios
doing a private session for a contest being held over
in england.....but in true elton style he disappeared
off backstage and that's the last we saw of him
but how fantastic! what a treat.....only michael xoxoxo

so.....here's a little clip from the lion king
thought you might enjoy.....peace

Music and Lyrics: Elton John and Tim Rice

From the day we arrive on the planet
And blinking, step into the sun
There's more to be seen than can ever be seen
More to do than can ever be done
Some say eat or be eaten
Some say live and let live
But all are agreed as they join the stampede
You should never take more than you give
In the circle of life
It's the wheel of fortune
It's the leap of faith
It's the band of hope
Till we find our place
On the path unwinding
In the circle, in the circle of life
Some of us fall by the wayside
And some of us soar to the stars
And some of us sail through our troubles
And some have to live with the scars
There's far too much to take in here
More to find than can ever be found
But the sun rolling high
Through the sapphire sky
Keeps great and small on the endless round
It's the circle of life
It's the wheel of fortune
It's the leap of faith
It's the band of hope
Till we find our place
On the path unwinding
It's the circle, it's the circle of life
It's the wheel of fortune
It's the leap of faith
It's the band of hope
Till we find our place
On the path unwinding
In the circle, the circle of life
On the path unwinding
In the circle, the circle of life

what a kind and loving soul she is

delights. For with you is the fountain of
life; in your light we see light."
Psalm 36:8-9 NIV

quickly, 'cos i'm out the door in five.
this was sent to me by my friend, marcia.
talk about how important music is to everyone!
just great!

Snowball is a medium sulphur crested Eleanora cockatoo and he loves to dance and sing. He loves the Back Street Boys. No one taught Snowball to dance...he just heard this song and suddenly felt like dancing. We're all jealous because he can outdance each one of us...nobody likes a show off! When he's really in the mood, he dances and sings. And at the end of the performance he takes a bow or two or twenty!! Enjoy the show. bird dancing

so many thoughts rattling round my head this a.m.
awoke at 7 having had some very weird dreams and tried to put them in order, but couldn't.....you know the kind i mean.....made me a tad grumpy.

i laid there listening to a neighbor's dog barking and children chatting, waiting for the bus to take them to school.....this would usually have made me grumpier....but it had the reverse effect.

i listened and felt my emotions....the kids....it took me back....innocence....a certain anticipation for what is to come this day...a wake up call.

isn't that's what it's all about?

anticipation for what is to come?

different thoughts started rattling....my blog....oh so many things to say...can  i remember them now? hope so...

reality...be real....be who you really are....i am that person....sometimes grumpy...it's okay

so i sit here with you with my welcoming cuppa tea and i am content to do so....i am excited even ....this is my daily journal i am deciding...it will be my lifeline to myself and to the world....you who care enough to visit and take a moment to share

like me

ARK - acts of random kindness....what will be my act of random kindness today....it remains to be seen and i will let you know

will you let me know what your act
of random kindness was today?

Hello Bloggers! Welcome to our new Blog.
For those of you familiar with rosie.com, you will
see how much alike our designs are. I am praying that Rosie will understand that imitation is the sincerest form of flattery. Rosie already knows how much I love her. She is my muse of all time and I know she will tell me if I have infringed in any way upon her rights.

For it is because of Rosie that this page was born, and there are many goals I hope to accomplish within this one little space.
1. That it be of solace to all who visit.
2. That it be an instrument of knowledge and understanding.
3. That it be an exploration of body, mind and spirit.
4. That it be profitable for my special charity: THE CURE. To boost research to find a cure, not just to keep people alive longer. And finally,
5. That it be an oasis of peace for all

Which leads me to our:

thought for today

How we spend our days is, of course, how we spend our lives - Annie Dillard

There you have it!

and now.....

as Rosie would say,

PEACE OUT

see you tomorrow.....
