I know you care.
You know I care.
And that is why
it's only fair
to tell you how
I feel.
Inside out
and
round about
and
on the line
as well.

You hold a part
of you
for me.
I hold a part
of me
for you.
Of this it's
understood.
And those who hold
the rest
of you
it's better that they
should.

For those who hold
the rest of me
have that very
special right
you see.
Just as much as
you agree
to that
little part
you have
of me.

We ask each other
how long?
Again.
But of this
I am so sure.
It's never so much
of how
or when.
But whether
or not
it's pure.

So now it's up
to us to be
whatever we
genuinely are.
In trusting you.
In trusting me.
We surely can
go far.

Accepting truth
is all I see.
For then I
really can
be me.
